Rotten, vile and powerful and born from fire in February 2025, ELDFÖDD started as a project meant to revive and honour the spirits that once brought excitement to the death metal scene. Sebastian Ramstedt, inspired by the old master pieces from Carcass, Entombed, Autopsy and Dismember released two songs “just for the hell of it” on Bandcamp. The songs Beyond the Fire and Silence of the Gods revealed two blistering and well composed examples of deadly metal. Response came imminent. Perra Karlsson reached out and wanted to do the songs justice with proper drums. Then came Erik Sahlstedt (vox) and Johan Jansson (Rhythm guitars). Finally they needed a bass player to complete the line up, so they asked the best they could think of; Victor Brandt. In less than a couple of weeks after the first demo was released
