In collaboration with Watain Disciples – Norwegian Division we released this emerald of darkness back in 2020.
In those days the Beyond the Gates festival issued a decree that a concert with Swedish Black Metal overlords WATAIN should be held at Hulen, Bergen on August 21st, 2019.
Followers came from around the world, bringing gifts, sacrifices and general shenanigans to the fair city of Bergen. Why Hulen, you may ask? Well, as far as we know Watain had made themselves rather unpopular at the preferred, and larger, venue of the festival at their last visit in Bergen. Still, seeing Watain live in Hulen must have been a dream come true for most of the spectators. Playing a set consisting of songs from their whole career at the time, they ravished Hulen the Watain way. Properly. The concert was a part of the Teufelsreich Summer Festival Tour 2019. The band themselves had suggestions in what songs to pick, and it was the first time My Fists are Him became available on vinyl.
Now it stands as one of our coolest and rarest releases, it was recorded live like in the old days – Using the sound of the room as it was – then and there. Like a proper bootleg. A simple and dangerous, so very dangerous, recording. The cover art was made by none other than E, layout taken care of by C and Brigade Laxevaag handled the recording and mastering. This was made in 113 copies and sold exclusively to the members of the Watain Disciples. For those of you who has it, keep it close, guarded by giant pillars to be moved by the Devil alone.
