Terrestrial Hospice

Formed in 2017, TERRESTRIAL HOSPICE is the collaboration of two veterans of the Polish black metal scene: Inferno (Behemoth, Azarath) and Skyggen (Gorgoroth, Tortorum). The project arose from a shared vision to revive the spirit of traditional black metal while maintaining an individual and uncompromising approach.

The band’s name reflects its ethos: “Terrestrial” signifies earthly existence, while “Hospice” symbolizes care at life’s end—palliative care for a world in decline. This thematic depth is woven into their music and lyrics, which explore nihilism, misanthropy, self-destruction, and the fall of humanity.

With roots in the golden era of black metal, Terrestrial Hospice eschews mainstream trends, focusing instead on authenticity and emotional resonance. The duo continues to create music that channels their shared history, harsh personal experiences, and a deep respect for the black metal tradition. Their work is a testament to their dedication to the genre and a profound exploration of its thematic and spiritual depths.
